Detailed itinerary

08:00: Meet up with our driver at the meeting point in downtown Beijing and board the bus for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Jinshanling Great Wall.

10:30: Arrive at Jinshanling and select your own hiking options:

Option 1: Loop hiking from Mid Gate to East Gate

3.5-4 hours/7km

Good body shape, hiking experience, active adventurers, many big step, elevation gain up to 450m

Option 2: Return hiking through Mid Gate

2.5-3.5hours, many options, referred to our maps

Seniors, people with knee problem

14:30: Back to the parking lot and drive back to Beijing.

17:00-17:30: Back to the same meeting point in downtown, timing depends on traffic.

Notes:

There is no toilet along the path on the Wall. There are toilets at the entrance of Jinshanling East and Mid gate. Please prepare before hiking and always carry toilet paper by yourself.
Please don’t make any appointment after the trip as the return depending on the traffic between 5-6 pm.
Unlimited bottled waters are stored in our car/van, and you need a day pack to carry them.
We will bring trekking poles in our car/van and please tell your driver if you need one.
